Can I download library ebooks to read offline?
Yes, most ebooks can be downloaded. If an ebook is available to be downloaded, you will see a "Download" button as an option on the book landing page.
The format and duration of allowable downloads is different for different books. Some books can be downloaded as PDFs with no extra software required. Others require you to use an additional app. Follow the prompts on the ebook you want to download to see what is required. Most ebooks allow you to download individual chapters without any additional requirements.
Vendors such as ProQuest and EBSCO require you to create an account and use special apps to download ebooks. (You will see the vendor name in the URL and on the book landing page). Here is more information for downloading ProQuest and EBSCO ebooks.
